- The PM KUSUM Scheme is a central government initiative aimed at promoting solar energy in agriculture. Who is eligible for the scheme? Individual farmers/SHGs, JLGs forming groups of farmers, cooperatives of farmers, Panchayats, FPOs, and WUAs are eligible for the scheme.

- The household must be an Indian citizen. The household must own a house with a roof that is suitable for installing solar panels. The household must have a valid electricity connection. The household must not have availed any other subsidy for solar panels.
- Step 1: First, the farmers have to visit the official website of Kusum Yojana. Step 2: Now, you can log in with the reference number on the homepage of the portal. Step 3: After you have logged in to the portal, you can fill out the online application form to take the Kusum solar pump.
- Rooftop Solar/PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana Installation Subsidies. Under the Rooftop Solar Scheme, the government will provide the below subsidies for installing solar panels: For up to 2 kW - Rs. 30,000 per kW. For additional capacity up to 3 kW - Rs. 18,000 per kW.
